By Air: Edinburgh airport is within easy reach of Loretto School (20 minutes by car or taxi) and has regular scheduled flights to all parts of the UK and Europe. The Amsterdam link is particularly convenient.

By Rail: Rail users may travel to Edinburgh Waverley Station (20 minutes by taxi) from Loretto, which is a mainline station with regular service connections to other major stations.

By Road: Situated on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth and convenient to the M8 motorway, Musselburgh can be easily reached from all parts of Scotland and the UK.

From the M8 (South and West) or M9 (North) look for the A720 (Edinburgh Bypass) heading south: Follow the Bypass towards North Berwick and take the Musselburgh exit at the junction with the A1. From this point follow the signs to the Race Course and Musselburgh Old Links. The Senior School is located at the eastern end of the High Street (A199) adjacent to the Race Course entrance.

From the A1 (South) take the Musselburgh Exit: Follow the signs to the Race Course, the entrance to the Senior School is adjacent to the Race Course entrance.
The Junior School is located on the western bank of the River Esk. Follow the High Street (A199) in the direction of Portobello and Edinburgh, turn right at the Brunton Hall. This road curves to the right and the entrance to the Junior School is on your left as you approach the river.

On Arrival:
At the Senior School, visitors should report to the Admissions Office at School House.

At the Junior School visitors should report to the School Office at North Esk Lodge.
