Assessment

A variety of assessment methods are used throughout the year. This combines a balance of both summative and formative assessment.  Children sit tests in reading, spelling and reasoning, as well as standardised tests in the core subjects.  We use end of topic unit tests and specific topic assessments are also set.  The results of all these assessments, along with class work, contribute to indicate the individual progress made by the children.
