Callum Milne

Head of Hockey

Callum Milne joined Loretto in September 2018. With him he brings a wealth of experience to the hockey at Loretto. Previously Callum has represented Scotland both indoor and outdoor at U16,18s, 21s and has gained 24 caps for the Senior National team throughout his playing career. During that time Callum played semi-professional at Surbiton Hockey club who play in the English Premier league. Since then Callum has moved back up to Edinburgh and plays for Grange HC, who have currently won the league and cup competition for several years. During his time at Grange he has represented the club in the European hockey League three times and played against some of the best club teams in the world.

Callum not only brings his playing experience but has a strong background in his coaching. Callum is a current level 2 qualified coach, and is currently the Grange Men’s 1st team Head coach. His coaching experience branches into schools as well as he has delivered hockey coaching programmes to several schools both in England and in Scotland.

Callum enjoys his time away from the hockey pitch where he enjoys spending time with his family who are based in and around Edinburgh and in his free time enjoys skiing and the occasional round of golf.
