Chief External Relations Officer.
Loretto School has great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mr. Oliver A. Jackson-Hutt as its Chief External Relations Officer (CERO) with effect from Monday 15 January 2018.
Born in Winchester but predominantly educated in Edinburgh, and latterly Cambridgeshire, Oliver was placed as the Director of Development of the High School of Dundee in 2013. Prior to this he worked for over ten years for The University of St Andrews, including on their global, £100m, 600th anniversary campaign, having already gained experience working in external relations for independent schools in both Oxford and Cambridge.
At the High School of Dundee, chief amongst Oliver’s priorities was to plan, design, and launch what was, at the time, the largest capital campaign of any UK independent school. Recently, Oliver has been an invited speaker in Austin at the CASE i-NAIS Global Independent Schools Conference, and at both the IDPE UK, and National Conferences.
Vice-President of IDPE for the Scotland Region, and an Associate Member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Institute of Fundraising, Oliver holds an MA Honours from The University of St Andrews, as well as Postgraduate Diplomas from both Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University.
In his spare time Oliver predominantly enjoys Music, Politics, Country Pursuits, and Travel.
We are delighted that Oliver is going to lead the key functions across External Relations, including Admissions, Alumni Relations, Development, and Marketing. We look forward to welcoming Oliver, his wife Charlotte, and their two sons, Rupert and Henry to Loretto early in the New Year.
