Christian Bruce

Christian Bruce, Partner at Redpath Bruce LLP, was educated at Atholl Preparatory (1975) and The Glasgow Academy (1976-1985) before joining Loretto School (1985-1990), and thereafter attending the University of Aberdeen (1991-1995) and the University of the West of Scotland - Paisley (1999-2000)

Whilst at Loretto, Christian played rugby for the 1st XV, played the bagpipes as part of Loretto Pipes & Drums, sang in the Chamber Choir and played guitar in the School's rock band.

Christian graduated from University with MA (Hons) and skipped through short apprenticeships with Ernst & Young, Edmundson Electrical and Hays Accountancy Personnel before returning to University in Paisley to gain a Post-Graduate Diploma in Urban Property Appraisal. This allowed him to train as a General Practice Surveyor with Roxburgh and Co and, on qualifying as a Member of the RICS, he took the post of Associate Partner with Donaldsons. In 2006, he joined the family firm, Redpath Bruce Property Management Ltd, founded by his grandfather, William Redpath Bruce in 1907. Christian now runs the firm jointly with his sister, Rowan McCall-Smith (OL 1987).

Christian is a Trustee of Spifox (Scotland’s largest property-oriented charity) and a Trustee of the Murrayfield Wanderer’s Rugby Trust Foundation.

Christian’s interests beyond his family include, live music events, golfing, skiing, running and the gym. He lives in Cramond and is married to Catriona with two sons, Lochlan and Guy.
