We were invited to kick off our Sunday shoes and cut loose as the explosive rock ‘n’ roll musical sensation Footloose blasted on to the Loretto School stage in a theatrical spectacular show which got our toes tapping from the very start. Based on the 1980s hit film that took the world by storm, Loretto's production of Footloose the musical sizzled with the same spirit of youth, rebellion and romance.

City boy Ren thought his life was over when he was forced to move to Bomont, an American rural backwater. But things were far worse than he could have ever imagined, as the town banned dancing. It wasn't long before Ren could resist breaking the rules, and he was not alone.

A cast and crew of over 60 Loretto pupils, aged 12 - 18 oozed musical talent, displayed stunning choreography and blasted out classic hits including Holding Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It For The Boy and the unforgettable title track, Footloose.

A triumph! Congratulations to you all.
