Rugby Camp - Open to all aged 9-15

  • Monday 5th August to Friday 9th August 2019
  • 9am -3pm
  • Ages 9-15

Andrew Binikos, Head of Rugby at Loretto, brings a wealth of experience having coached the Sharks Academy in South Africa, Cyprus Senior International team and Currie Chieftains in Scotland. During the Camp the children will practise skills development through individual and team sessions. All areas will be covered from tackle technique to kicking. One of the principal aims of the Camp is to engage the players' and create a fun environment through a series of tailored games and drills to suit the players' needs. This Camp is a great opportunity for all players to improve their individual skills, team work, fitness levels and core skills that is required to play Rugby.

Pre-Season Rugby Camp - Loretto Students Only 

  • Monday 26th August to Saturday 31st August
  • 2nd to 6th form Loretto students

The camp is a great opportunity for the school to work with individual pupils and spend time together focussed on improving their skills ahead of the new rugby season. We have a strong line up of coaches who are going to contribute to the success of the camp. I will be leading on the camp and working alongside Mr Binikos will be, Mr White, Mr Outram, Mr Woolley and Mr Argiro. Mr Argiro is an Argentinian rugby player that has moved to Scotland and specialises in coaching scrummaging and forwards play. We have also arranged for professional rugby players to join us and do a session with the pupils.

The camp has been designed to be exciting and one where pupils get the chance to train, live, cook and bond together for week bringing everyone closer together. The Pre Season rugby camp will consist of the following activities:

  • Accommodation in the boarding houses
  • 3 meals a day
  • Specialist Rugby Training
  • Gym sessions
  • Pro Players visits
  • Evening Activities such as BBQ’s & Team building exercises
  • Fixture on Saturday 31st August at 10:30am against St Aloysius College
