Loretto Fun Run in aid of the Duncan McLean Fund.
On Wednesday 26th April, we are aiming to hold the biggest single charity event in the history of Loretto School.
Pupils and staff will be taking part in a Fun Run which will raise money for The Duncan McLean Fund, which is part of The Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of Duncan McLean (OL) who died in 2016 at the age of 20.
The Fun Run will also provide a unique opportunity for pupils and staff to participate together in a major event, with all staff either signed up to run or help. This event lives up to the Loretto ethos of Mind, Body and Spirit and I am sure it will be a great success.
The Fun Run will be a non-competitive event with participation and community spirit at the centre. Participants will be able to run, jog or walk the course. The junior years will complete a 3.5km circuit and the seniors will complete a 5km circuit. The event will be held in the beautiful grounds of Winton House in Pencaitland, with the kind permission of the Ogilvy family.
If anyone would like to join us on the day and watch the event, please do come along. The junior race is due to start at 4pm and the senior race will follow at about 4.45pm.
If you would like to support the School community at the event and donate to the Duncan McLean Fund, please do visit our Just Giving page.
All donations will be gratefully received and will certainly add as extra motivation for everyone involved on the day.
