Summer Camps at Loretto School

Our popular Summer Camps are back in 2023. Visit our website to book your place and dive into the range of sports and activities we have on offer. 

Timings for all camps are set to be 9am-4pm each day and children should bring their own packed lunch.

 

Rock and Pop - FULL BOOKED

3rd-7th July / Ages 7-15 / £200

Rock and roll or pop 'til you drop at our dedicated Music School and concert hall where children will practice guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, keyboard, singing and the drums. Led by Loretto Instrumental Teacher, Nicola Kendall, our music camp is open to children of all levels, whether they're playing an instrument for the first time or building on their existing knowledge and skill. Our future musical superstars will have the opportunity to perform to parents and guardians at the end of the week - not to be missed!

 

Art - FULLY BOOKED

17th-21st July / Ages 5-12 / £200

Let those creative minds run free at our Junior School Art Studio, hosted by Nipper Art Teacher, Sarah Kettlewell. Using a range of materials and techniques, our budding artists work independently and collectively to make art they are truly proud of. There will be an exhibition at the end of the week for parents and guardians to admire the wonderful work on display. Always a summer favourite.

 

Hockey

17th-21st July / Ages 10-15 / £200

Former Scotland player and Head of Hockey at Loretto, Rory Kerr, has an uber-fun, jam-packed and high energy hockey camp for children of all abilities. Discover the joy of hockey through team games and exercises that encourage confidence, technical ability and communication. Core elements of passing, body position, tackling, shooting and set pieces will be focused upon, with a fouc on the fitness side of hockey to help with progression of skills. Booking early is advised.

With a breadth of hockey experience behind them both, Rory Kerr and Tom Morrison are excited to be passing on their knowledge and experiences to all children at the camp. Rory has a background in playing and coaching in Australia, New Zealand and England as well as being involved with Junior and Senior Scotland squads during his playing career. Tom has also coached and played hockey in Scotland and England and also had a season playing in Australia.

 

Rugby

24th-28th July / Ages 10-15 / £200

Kickstart your rugby season at our highly rated rugby camp, designed by ex-Scotland Captain, Jason White, and Cyprus International Coach, Andrew Binikos. Expertly curated games and drills build teamwork, leadership, fitness and core skills, all relative to the child's individual experience. Take your game to the next level and book early to avoid disappointment.

Both Jason White and Andrew Binikos are delighted to pass on their expertise and wide experience onto those attending the rugby camp. Andrew is currently Head of Rugby at Loretto and the Cyprus Senior Men's coach, he also has experience working with the Natal Sharks in South Africa. Jason is Loretto's Director of Sport and has enjoyed a long and successful career as a professional rugby player; captaining the Scotland Senior team and representing the British and Irish Lions.
