Melanie Paton

Head of Lacrosse

During her lacrosse playing career, Melanie captained Scotland at U18 and U21 level before earning 50 senior caps for Scotland over 10 years, serving as vice-captain in her last 3 seasons including the 2001 World Cup. She has played in two World Cups (Japan and England) and two European Championships (winning Gold in Prague in 1998) and played in four US tours. Melanie has also played for West London, Middlesex, South of England and was captain and coach of Edinburgh University leading her team to two British University Sports Association finals. She was Scotland Senior B team coach in 2018 and now assists with Senior Scotland coaching when time allows.

Melanie has degrees in Medicinal Chemistry, Medicine and a Masters in Physiotherapy and lives with her husband and 3 girls in Edgehead.
