Niamh Peakman crowned Scottish Synchronised Swimmer of the Year!

Niamh Peakman has been crowned Synchronised Swimmer of the Year at the star-studded Scottish Swimming Awards event. The sell-out event in Aberdeen was attended by 280 guests and hosted by two-time World 10km Open Water Champion and Olympic Silver medallist, Keri-anne Payne and three-time Olympian and double Commonwealth Champion, David Carry.

Despite being told that she would not have to speak, David Carry interviewed her anyway!

Niamh spoke about her training schedule and the fact that she can hold her breath for 50 metres. A film of her receiving the award is on the Edinburgh Synchro website here

Many, congratulations, Niamh! A fabulous achievement.
