Over £11,000 donated to MND charities.
The Whole School Chapel Service included cheque presentations to representatives from three motor neurone disease (MND) charities totalling a whopping £11,470.60!
This staggering amount was raised from last term’s Christmas Market.
Loretto Junior School pupils, Rowan and Harriet presented three cheques;
· Jason received a cheque for £6,211.00 on behalf of My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
· Kerry and Poulomi received a cheque for £2,629.80 on behalf of the Euan MacDonald Centre.
· Iain received a cheque for £2,629.80 on behalf of MND Scotland.
The cheque for the Euan MacDonald Centre included £185 which Harriet (Year 6 at Loretto Junior School) raised by selling ‘slime’ at the Christmas Market and the cheque for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation included a significant amount of money raised from the silent auction prize donated by Loretto School and the Foundation Trustees. Also worthy of mention is the £1,217 Rowan (Year 6 at Loretto Junior School) raised by selling homemade hats.
