Supporting Bursaries

Bursaries – a truly life changing experience

Today with fees at up to £28,000 a year, the total cost of sending your son or daughter to Loretto, including uniform and extras, is likely to exceed £150,000 over five years.  We know that there are many parents who would like their child(ren) to benefit from a Loretto education, but the burden of fees is to great a commitment.

We believe a Loretto education should be available to children of all social backgrounds irrespective of their parents’ ability to pay the fees  and last year alone we were able to assist some 90 parents with limited means by awarding  over  half a million pounds in means tested bursaries.

Children on bursaries make a significant contribution towards life at Loretto and their ability and determination to achieve will help inspire and encourage others to achieve their potential.

There are three ways you can help us increase the number of bursaries we can offer.

Named Bursary:

Support one specific pupil, through a 100% means tested bursary for the duration of his/her time at Loretto enabling that child to complete both GCSE and ‘A’ Level Public examinations.   In return for your support the Bursary could be named after you, or that of someone you would like to nominate.

Donation: £30,000 pa for five years or a single gift of £125,000

Sixth Form Bursary:

Support a pupil, through a 100% means tested bursary, through Sixth Form helping that pupil achieve their maximum potential at ‘A’ Level.

Donation: £30,000 pa for two years or a single gift of £55,000.
