Angela Beaton

Angela was born in Edinburgh but spent her childhood in London and then Glasgow where she attended multiple schools finally landing at Hutchesons Grammar. From there she went on study Jurisprudence and Economics at the University of Glasgow followed by an LLM at the European Academy of Law in Brussels. Having spent her early career working for the American law firm Dorsey & Whitney, Angela then transitioned in to HR where she has had a successful, international career mainly in the fields of healthcare and pharmaceutical. 

Angela has been married to her husband Garry for 25 years and they have lived overseas for most of their marriage covering Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Angela returned to Edinburgh in the summer of 2025 when their daughter joined Loretto sixth form. They also have a 16 year old son who has been boarding at Merchiston Castle school since 2022.  

When not doing Reformer Pilates, Angela can be found walking her Cavapoo dog or traveling to visit her husband in the Middle East.
