Catriona Campbell

Catriona was born in Edinburgh but spent most of her childhood in Helensburgh before going to Glenalmond College for 6th form. She remembers competing against Loretto at hockey and tennis. She studied medicine at Edinburgh University, with an intercalated BSc in physiology, graduating in 1998. After hospital jobs in Edinburgh and the Borders, she completed her GP training in 2003. She has worked at practices in Edinburgh and East Lothian, has been a GP partner in Dunbar for the past 10 years and recently became a GP trainer. She enjoys the breadth of medicine and the holistic approach in general practice, across all age ranges, and has areas of special interest in sexual health and mental health, as well as palliative care.

She enjoys being active outdoors, but can no longer keep up with her daughters when running.

Catriona lives on the coast in East Lothian with her husband Tim and their three daughters, two of whom attend Loretto Senior School and one who is an OL (2023).
