Matt Tuckwood-Hill

Director of Finance & Operations (Bursar)

Matt is the School’s Director of Finance and Operations and, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, works closely with the Head and Board to shape and deliver the School’s strategic direction. He provides leadership across 12 multi-functional teams, overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions that support the effective running of the School.

Matt’s career spans over 25 years of senior leadership experience across independent schools and higher education. Prior to joining Loretto in 2026, Matt held senior and executive roles at Repton School, the University of Oxford and Hymers College, where he worked closely with governing bodies to deliver meaningful financial and operational improvements that enhance the experience of both pupils and staff.

Matt is known for his collaborative and community-focused approach, ensuring that decision-making remains centred on the needs of pupils, parents and staff, while delivering practical and sustainable outcomes for the future.
