Top spot for Loretto pupil in ARTiculation Prize Scotland.
Upper Sixth pupil, Lily Ashrowan took part in the final of ARTiculation Scotland at the University of Stirling recently – a remarkable achievement in itself.
Accompanied and supported by fellow A level Art pupils, Mariia and Amy, Lily spoke on the self-portraits of the Surrealist photographer, Claude Cahun.
There were 9 speakers aged 16-19 and the adjudicator was Dr Simon Groom, Director of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
Dr Groom compared Lily’s delivery to some of his inspiring lecturers he had been taught by at the Courthauld Institute! High praise indeed and very well deserved.
