Fees
Unlike the majority of our competitors in the sector, our fees remain virtually all-inclusive. Our fees include:
- all meals and snacks (excluding Breakfast Club in Pre-School)
- most extra-curricular activities
- most textbooks
- all library loans
- costs for the Combined Cadet Force
- travel to/from sporting fixtures
- pupil personal accident insurance
- pupil personal effects insurance
- off-site activity insurance
- lifetime membership of The Lorettonian Society (for Senior School leavers).
In our Junior School, fees for pupils in Years 4-7 include:
- our Saturday activity programme
- our flexible extended day (7.45am -6.30pm)
- Prep and Tea.
Additional charges are limited to items such as books or materials that are kept by pupils where they cannot be used again by others (e.g. science workbooks, art folders), 1:1 lessons, public examinations/assessment, transport to/from school, English as a Second Language, trips/academic visits/activities run by external providers, visa work and apostilles.
Our revised model supports, and is consistent with, our strategy of maintaining the best educational experiences for our pupils. It will enable Loretto to continue to provide a high quality, well-resourced education, while addressing rising staff costs, inflationary increases, and estates maintenance costs. Our fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
From 1st January 2025 the UK Government is imposing VAT on school fees and applicable related expenses. While the school is required to apply VAT at 20% from that date, we will now be able to recover some of this. Accordingly, the Board of Governors has approved a VAT-related discount on our fees for Spring and Summer 2025, enabling us to pass on the equivalent of 17% of the education tax to our parents.

| For any enrolments after 1st September 2024, a 5% premium may be applied for direct entry into Form 6 for each of the two Form 6 years (L6/U6). In addition, a 5% premium may be applied for pupils enrolling for one year or less. However, the maximum premium applied in these instances will be capped at 5% per year. |
