There are a number of opportunities for parents to get involved in the Loretto community: Friends of Loretto and Parent Forums in Junior and Senior School are our three hugely successful parent led Loretto Committees. If you have a particular skill that you wish to share with the school, please contact either the Senior school or Junior School office to ask about how to become a parent volunteer or you may wish to join one of our two parent-led bodies when a position becomes available.
Friends of Loretto’s principal purpose is to ‘connect families with families’ and to help foster our friendly Loretto community.
The parent volunteers, include representation from Nippers and each senior school year, boarding and day.
Friends of Loretto work in partnership with school at the beginning of your Loretto senior school journey, whether joining in F2 or 6th form. The committee is current parents extending their warm Loretto welcome, to help you connect and enhance the enjoyment of your Loretto senior school life.
Throughout the school year the committee supports school events such as Sports Day and is integral in our annual Careers Fair, an initiative to collaborate with Loretto’s Entrepreneur in Residence, the parent body and Old Lorettonian’s (OL’s) who together inspire the next generation of Lorettonian’s with life beyond Loretto.
Independently, the committee also organises annual year group parent nights out, and wider community ‘all inclusive’ Loretto days, such as an afternoon at the races, country ceilidh or beach barbecue.
The Friends of Loretto committee greatly values the support of all Loretto’s parents and welcomes interested parents wishing to join the committee, or to help at events or suggest new ideas to please get in touch.

Advantageously split into two Loretto Parent Forums: Junior School Parent Forum and Senior School Parent Forum, they each meet once a term with relevant members of the Senior Leadership Team to discuss the direction of the school.
The objectives of the Parent Forum are:
Each forum is made up of parent representatives from year groups across the School. Agenda items are requested prior to the meeting and Minutes can be found on the Parent Portal after each meeting. Anyone interested in joining either the Junior School or Senior School Parent Forums should contact the relevant School Office.
Should you have any questions specific to your child, you should contact your child’s tutor or class teacher in the first instance.
