Our comprehensive Enrichment programme includes over 80 different activities, giving Loretto pupils many opportunities to develop beyond the classroom. Whether it’s sport, drama, music, or their sense of adventure, Lorettonians are empowered to develop their own unique interests and talents, aided by fantastic facilities.
Loretto takes a whole school approach, with pupils welcomed from age 3-18.

Loretto Pre-School
The learning begins in Loretto’s Pre-School, where we provide a holistic education built upon a foundation of learning through play, including dedicated time spent in our Forest School. Open to children from ages 3-5, our trained, experienced teachers and team of Early Years specialists offer a broad range of curriculum subjects and activities, while creating an environment where every child is known, understood and nurtured.
Each child’s individual learning is active and engaged, with activities designed around their individual interests. With part-time and full-time options, wraparound care and three meals per day included, our Pre-School is as hard-working for busy parents as it is welcoming for young children.

Loretto Junior School
Loretto Junior School is a top private primary school in Edinburgh open to boys and girls aged 5-12. Here, pupils are encouraged to be responsible, respectful and resourceful. Our teaching staff support children to be purposeful with their learning and to develop a lively, enquiring mind. There are a wide variety of opportunities for physical development, through sport, our Forest School and outdoor learning. We champion the creative arts and provide targeted, specialist tuition across all age groups.
Again, exceptional wraparound care, activities and three meals per day are available to all pupils. From Years 1 to 3, wrap-around care is included up to 5pm. From Year 4 until your child finishes Upper Sixth, fees are inclusive of all lunchtime and after-school activities, as well as additional academic support via daily workshops, our Saturday Enrichment Programme and flexible extended day through to 6.30pm.

Loretto Senior School
Moving up into Senior School, Loretto offers a diverse yet rigorous curriculum and incredible range of co-curricular activities. Beyond academic subjects, pupils are given plenty of opportunities to develop their artistic and sporting talents, as well as their sense of adventure. Loretto offers comprehensive programmes across all of these fields.
Our Senior School is when many students decide to board at Loretto, opting to take full advantage of our extra-curricular programmes, sporting facilities, academic opportunities, and social events while preparing for exams and life after school.

Loretto offers the flexibility and support required by modern families, including wraparound care and holiday clubs for Pre-School children through to Flexi, Weekly and Full Boarding throughout Senior School.
