Wedding Venues
Located just 20 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, Loretto is home to several hidden gems ideal for weddings.
Wedding ceremonies are held in our Chapel, located at the heart of our leafy and serene, 85-acre campus. Timeless and atmospheric, the 19th century architecture and stunning stained-glass windows provide an elegant backdrop for couples and loved ones to gather.
Set within the historic Pinkie House, the Painted Gallery features 17th century heraldic and classical designs on its ceiling, making for a memorable post-ceremony reception venue.
A picturesque setting surrounded by greenery and looking on to the impressive Pinkie House – an ideal location for your personalised marquee party.
Wedding Packages
For couples looking for an intimate ceremony within our elegant Chapel. After the ceremony, enjoy access to Chapel Lawn and the surrounding area to take post-ceremony photographs.
Host your wedding ceremony in our Chapel, then proceed to the ornate Pinkie Painted Gallery for a drinks and canape reception. Access to the gallery and grounds of Pinkie House is granted for up to two hours – just the right amount of time to toast the happy couple and take photographs.
The wedding package for couples looking for a full-day celebration at Loretto. After your ceremony and reception, take to the grounds of Pinkie House for your marquee reception.
Enhancements to make your day that little bit more special are available, including idyllic dressing rooms, a traditional Piper, and full event planning and support at an additional cost.

When do you require full payment by?
An initial deposit will be taken, with the remaining funds to be paid 31 days prior to your wedding date.
Do you have a premises license?
We are happy to liaise with your selected caterer to support the granting of a premises license.
Do you have a recommended suppliers list?
Yes – whether it’s a celebrant, florist, catering, or any other aspect of your day – we would be delighted to share our recommendations.
Do you provide canapés?
Our catering team can provide delicious canapés to suit a range of dietary needs and tastes. You may also use an external caterer for your reception canapés if you wish.
Are there parking spaces?
We have a limited number of parking spaces on site. However, plenty of free on-street parking is available.
