Hockey

Hockey is the major sport for girls and boys. Girls compete in the Autumn term and the boys compete in the Spring. Loretto competes against a wide variety of schools in Scotland. Both girls and boys hockey three times a week on the school Astro. Loretto has a proud history of hockey and competes on a highly competitive circuit with regular fixtures against Fettes, George Watsons College, Erskine Stewarts Melville, Gordonstoun, Merchiston Castle, The Edinburgh Academy, Robert Gordons College, Strathallan and touring sides from the North of England.

Loretto regularly provides local and main clubs in Scotland with talented younger hockey players looking to get involved in adult hockey. Many of the children at the school have gone through the Scottish hockey pathway and have competed at District and International level.
